I saved my patients over $500 last week π Here’s how π
CaseΒ #1
I had prescribed a patient ear drops that turned out to be $200. She was able to text me (on Saturday morning from the pharmacy) & I was able to directly communicate w/ the pharmacist to authorize an alternative β
In a traditional practice, I wouldn’t have gotten this message until 2-3 days later. She either would have paid π°or let her infection get worse until I could respond β
CaseΒ #2
A patient scheduled her long overdue mammogram and was told it would be $400+ without insurance. She texted me to ask if this sounded right. I knew from experience that there were discounted rates at this facility, so I personally called and asked about the price they quoted. They were able to apply a discount for over $300 β
In a traditional practice, she either would have paid or skipped her mammo completely β

How much do we spend on cable/hair/nails/lashes/unhealthy food that doesn’t serve us or do anything to better us in the long-run? What’s more important to invest in than our physical and mental wellbeing?
